Educational Qualification
Level 2:
- 12th Pass (+2 stage) with at least 50% aggregate (not mandatory for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen under NTPC categories).
- OR Matriculation with Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (Technician categories).
- OR Matriculation with ITI approved by NCVT (Technician categories).

- OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
- OR 10th Pass + NAC from NCVT OR 10th Pass + ITI.
Southern Railway Scouts & Guides Quota Requirements
- Membership: Must be a President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder.
- Active Participation: Must have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last five years (2019-20 to 2024-25).
- National/State Level Events: Should have attended:
- At least two National Level OR All India Railway Level events.
- At least two State Level events.
- Certificate of Activeness: As per Annexure-I in the notification.
Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025)
- Level 2: 18 to 30 years
- Level 1: 18 to 33 years
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
