CISF Constable/ Tradesman Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Eligibility:
- Constable/ Tradesman – Matriculation, or its equivalent, from an approved board for skilled trades on or before the online application form’s closing date. (For example, a barber, a boot maker or cobbler, a tailor, a cook, a carpenter, Mali, a painter, a charge mechanic, a washer worker, a welder, an electrician, and a motor pump attendant). Personnel with training from Industrial Training Institutes would be given preference.

There is only one paper with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for the CISF Constable/Tradesman written exam. The following topics were covered:
General Awareness/Knowledge (25 points)

- History: Significant historical occurrences and their implications.
- Geography: An overview of the physical characteristics and climate of India and the rest of the world.

- Geometry: Area, perimeter, angles, forms, and basic geometry.
- Volume, surface area, and measures of various geometrical figures are examples of mensuration.

Reasoning (25 points)
- Verbal Reasoning: Syllogisms, coding-decoding, analogies, classification, and series completion.
- Pattern recognition, figure matching, and sequence puzzles are examples of nonverbal reasoning.
Language: English/Hindi (25 marks)
- Grammar: Vocabulary, tenses, and sentence modification.
- Reading comprehension and responding to pertinent queries are examples of comprehension.
- Writing Proficiency: Basic writing abilities and simple sentence construction in Hindi and English.
2. Test of Physical Efficiency (PET)
After passing the written test, candidates will take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which consists of the following:
For Applicants Who Are Male:
5 kilometers in 24 minutes of running.
Height: 165 cm or more.
Chest measurements: 82 cm (expanded), 77 cm (unexpanded).
Regarding Female Candidates:
Running: 8.30 minutes for 1.6 km.
Height: 155 cm or more.
3. Trade Exam (For Craftspeople)
Candidates for tradesman positions (cobbler, barber, cook, etc.) must take a trade test to evaluate their skill in the profession in addition to the written and physical exams.
