Kancheepuram DHS Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification for District Health Society:

• Theatre Technician – Qualification: a. A pass in Higher Secondary Course with the science subjects of Physics, Chemistry,
  Botany and Zoology or Physics, Chemistry and Biology. b. One year certificate course in Theatre Technician conducted by the Government Medical Institutions under the control of the Director of Medical Education or in any other institutions recognized by the State or Central Government.
• Occupational Therapist – Qualification: (a) Must have passed Higher Secondary Course, and (b) A bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy: 3 years course with 6 months internship (up to 1997), or 4 years course with 6
  months internship in Occupational Therapy awarded by any University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Sterilization Operator (CSSD Tech Assistant) – Qualification: Diploma in Hospital Sterilisation Technology from an NMC-recognized Medical College.
• Blood Bank Counsellor – Qualification: Master’s degree in medical psychology from a recognized University.
• Female/Male Nursing Assistant – Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th Standard and completed 1-year MPHW course from a recognized institution. Should have undergone Nursing Assistant Training in any institution recognized by the Government.
• Office Assistant – Qualification: Passed 8th Standard. Should be able to read and write Tamil.
• Dhobi – Qualification: Should know how to read and write Tamil.
• Dietician – Qualification: i. Must possess M.Sc. Degree in any one of the following from a recognized University approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC): Food Service Management and Dietetics Foods and Nutrition Food Science and Nutrition Home Science with Nutrition and Dietetics as a major Home Science Emerging Technology, Food Service Management and Dietetics Provided that the candidate must also possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the same subject or with any one of the following as a major: Nutrition / Clinical Nutrition Dietetics Food Service Management ii. Must have at least 2 years of practical experience in a Multi-Speciality Hospital (minimum 100-bed hospital) under the supervision of a qualified and experienced Senior Dietician.
• Radiographer – Qualification: Diploma in Radio Diagnosis Technician from a Government-recognized Institution.
