Educational Qualification for Assam Rifles

• Warrant Officer (Cipher) – (i) Must have completed the 10+2 / Intermediate Examination in Science (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) from a recognized State or Central Education Board. Additionally, Applicants require a minimum two-year Industrial Training Institute qualification at NSQF Level 4 or above in Information and Communication Technology/ Information Technology/ Electronics Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/Instrumental Technology / Electrical Engineering (ii) Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate) in Electronics or Information and Communication Technology from an accredited University or Institution.
• Rifleman (Electrical Fitter Signal) – Class 10/Matric pass from a recognized Board with minimum two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or two/three years Diploma Holders in Electrical Engineering/Instrument Mechanic/ Technician Power Electronic System/Electrician Power Distribution/ Electrician/Instrumental Technology/Technician Electronic System Design and Repair.
• Rifleman (Lineman Field) – Class 10/Matric pass from a recognized Board with minimum two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute or two/three years Diploma Holders in Electronics Engineering/Electronics Mechanic/ Electrical Engineering/Electrician Power Distribution/ Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/ Technical Power Electronic System/ Fibre to Home Technology/OFC Technology/Instrumental Technology/Technician Electronic System Design and Repair.
• Rifleman (Armourer) – 10h pass with Industrial Training Institute certificate in welding trade from recognized Institute.
• Rifleman (Engineer Equipment Mechanic) – Class 10/ Matric pass from a recognised Board with two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Mechanic/Power Institute or minimum two/three years Diploma
• Rifleman (Recovery Vehicle Mechanic) – Male candidates only), Initial Rank – Rifleman, Education Qualification – 10h/ Matriculation pass from a recognized Board with a two years Industrial Training Institute certificate in Recovery Vehicle Mechanic and a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle Driving License or 10h/Matriculation pass from a recognized Board with a valid Driving License of Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle.
• Rifleman (Electrician Motor Vehicle) – Class 10/ Matric pass from a recognized Board with two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute or minimum two/ three years Diploma in Electrician/ Electrical Engineering/I Technical/Power Electronics/Communication System.
• Havildar (Instrument Mechanic) – Class 10/Matric pass from a recognized Board with two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute or minimum two/three years Diploma in Instrument Mechanic/ Technology Electronic Mechanic/Technology.
• Rifleman (Metalsmith) – 10h/Matriculation pass from a recognized Board and a two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute or minimum two/three years Diploma in Metalsmith/ Metallurgy.
• Rifleman (Upholster) – 10th/ Matriculation pass from a recognized Board! and two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute or minimum two / three years Diploma in Upholster trade, Rifleman Store Keeper Technical (Electrical Mechanical Engineer) – 10th/ Matric pass from a recognized Board.
• Rifleman (Vehicle Mechanic) – 10th / Matric pass from a recognized Board and a minimum two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute or minimum two/three years Diploma in Mechanic Motor Vehicle/ Mechanic/ Mechanic Diesel/ Fitter/ Mechanic Engineering Technical/Automobile Engineering/Technical.
• Rifleman (Welder) – 10h /Matriculation pass from a recognized Board and a two years of Technical Training from Industrial Training Institute or minimum two/three years Diploma in Welder/Metallurgy.
• Warrant Officer (Draughtsman) – 10+2 pass or equivalent from a recognised Board with three years Diploma Holders in Architectural Assistantship from any accredited Polytechnic college or Institution.
• Warrant Officer (Operation Theatre Technician) – Passed 10+2 from an education board recognised by Central/State Government. (i) Should be in possession of Diploma Holders in Operation Theatre Technician of minimum two years duration from any Institute/ Hospital accredited by Central/State Government to issue such a certificate. (ii) Requires a minimum of one year of hands-on professional experience as an Operation Theatre Technician at a hospital with 50 or more beds that is approved by either the Central or State Government.
• Warrant Officer (Physiotherapist) – (i) Passed 10+2 from an education board accredited by the Central/ State Govt. (ii) Should be in possession of Diploma Holders in Physiotherapy of minimum two years duration from any Institute/ Hospital accredited by the Central/State Government or issued such a certificate. (iii) Requires a minimum of one year of hands-on professional experience as a Physiotherapist in a hospital with 50 or more beds or a Physiotherapy Centre accredited by the Central or State Govt.
• Rifleman (Mason) – (i) 10h pass from a recognised Board. (ii) Must qualify the trade test. (iii) An undertaking/self certification regarding one year work experience in respective trade.
