TNPSC Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission:

• Deputy Collector (Post Code: 1001) – Applicants must possess a degree (Graduates) of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution.
• Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes) (Post Code: 1003) – Applicants must possess a degree (Graduates) of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution. Other things being equal, preference shall be given to candidates as follows; (a) First – Applicants who hold both B.Com. degree and B.L. Graduate together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws (b) Second – Applicants who hold both B.Com. and B.L. Graduate (c) Third – Applicants who hold either B.Com. degree or B.L. Graduate together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws (d) Fourth – Candidates who hold either B.Com. degree or B.L. Graduate
• Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Post Code: 1004) – Applicants must possess a degree (Graduates) of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution.
• District Registrar (Post Code: 1005) – Applicants must possess a degree (Graduates) of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution.
• Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Post Code: 1946) – Applicants must possess a degree (Graduates) of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution. Other things being equal preference shall be given to freedom fighters and members of their families. • Explanation:  The expression – freedom fighters il shall mean persons who took part in any of the National Movements inaugurated by National Congress or under its sanction for attainment of independence of India and as a consequence have undergone imprisonment. The expression – Family shall mean the father, mother, son, daughter, grandson or unmarried granddaughter of a freedom fighter.
