UPSC Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification for Union Public Service Commission:
Agricultural Engineer – Educational: Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University. • Experience: Two years Desirable Qualifications: One year practical Experience of mechanized farming practices.
Medical Officer/Research Officer (Unani) – Educational: Degree in Unani Medicine of a recognized University/Statutory State Board/Council/Faculty of Indian Medicine recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970). Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or a State Register of Indian Medicine.
Scientist ‘B’ (Botany) – Educational: Master’s Degree in Science in Botany from a recognized University or Equivalent. Experience: Three years research Experience in Botany after acquisition of essential qualification. Desirable Qualifications: (i) PhD in Botany (ii) At least one-year practical Experience in a laboratory for conservation of cultural property. (iii) At least one year Experience in non-destructive testing or analysis.
Scientist ‘B’ (Environmental Science) – Educational: Master’s degree in science in Environmental Science from a recognized University or equivalent. OR bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Environmental Science and Engineering. Experience: Three years research Experience in Environmental Science after acquisition of essential qualification. Desirable Qualifications: (i) PhD in Environmental Science (ii) At least one-year practical Experience in a laboratory for conservation of cultural property. (iii) At least one year Experience in non-destructive testing or analysis.
Scientist ‘B’ (Geology) – Educational: Master’s degree in science in Geology from a recognized University. Experience: Three years research Experience in geology after acquisition of essential qualification. Desirable Qualifications: (i) PhD in geology. (ii) At least one-year practical Experience in a laboratory for conservation of cultural property. (iii) At least one year Experience in non-destructive testing or analysis.
Scientist ‘B’ (Physics) – Educational: Master’s degree in science in Physics from an accredited University. Experience: Three years research Experience in Physics after acquisition of essential qualification. Desirable Qualifications: (i) PhD in Physics. (ii) At least one year practical Experience in a laboratory for conservation of cultural property. (iii) At least one year Experience in non-destructive testing or analysis.
Scientist ‘B’ (Zoology) – Educational: Master’s degree in science in Zoology from a recognized University. Experience: Three years research Experience in Zoology after acquisition of essential qualification. Desirable Qualifications: (i) PhD in Zoology. (ii) At least one-year practical Experience in a laboratory for conservation of cultural property. (iii) At least one year Experience in non-destructive testing or analysis.
Civilian Medical Officer – Educational: (i) MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council/NMC Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Completion of Compulsory rotating internship, Internship candidates who may not have completed rotating internship shall be eligible to appear for the written examination provided that, if selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment. Desirable Qualifications: Post Graduate medical qualification in any discipline.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion) – Educational: (i) MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holder of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate degree in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e., Doctorate of Medicine (Immunology); or Doctor of Medicine (Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion); Or Diplomate National Board (Immunology/Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion); or Doctor of Medicine (Pathology) with two years’ teaching Experience or special training in department of Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion; or Doctor of Medicine (Bacteriology) with two years’ teaching Experience or special training in department of Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion; or Doctor of Medicine (Haematology) with two years’ teaching Experience or special training in department of Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion; or Diplomate National Board (Pathology/Bacteriology/Haematology) with two years’ teaching Experience or special training in department of Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion. (B) Experience: At least three years’ teaching Experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Speciality or Superspeciality in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the 1st Post-graduate degree.
Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Surgical Oncology) – Educational: (i) MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree qualification included in the 1st Schedule or 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holder of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (iii) Post-graduate degree in the concerned Speciality or Super- speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e., Magister Chirurgiae (Surgical Oncology); or Diplomate National Board (Surgical Oncology); or Master of Surgery (General Surgery) with two years’ special training in Surgical Oncology; or Master of Surgery (Ear, Nose & Throat) with two years’ special training in Surgical Oncology; or Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) with two years’ special training in Surgical Oncology; or Doctor of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynecology) with two years’ special training in Surgical Oncology; or Diplomate National Board (General Surgery/ENT/Orthopaedics/Obst. & Gyne.) with two years’ special training in Surgical Oncology. • Experience: At least three years’ teaching Experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Superspecialist in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the 1st post-graduate degree.
Assistant Industrial Adviser – Educational: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or chemical engineering or metallurgical engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized university or institute. Experience: Three years’ Experience in steel works, steel rolling mills or in a unit manufacturing plant machinery or machine tools OR Three years’ Experience in production, planning, development and research of iron and steel industry including its raw materials. Desirable Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
Veterinary Assistant Surgeon – Educational: (i) Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science from a recognized University or Institute. (ii) Registered with the Veterinary Council of India or State /UT Veterinary Council
